A step- by- step guide to prepare your first DIY Vape Juice

For a beginner, it’s always best to start with a simple recipe or a single-shot-concentrate.

1. Perfect ratio and recipe:

Start with the recipe of Mustard Milk, a strawberry milk flavor, prepared by reddit and ejuice maker Fizzmustard.

Strawberry (TPA) 6%
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (TPA) 6%

TPA stands for The Perfumers Apprentice, a leading flavor maker.

Now comes the most important decision of selecting the correct VG/PG ratio to use. For sub ohm vaping, Fitzzmustard advises a radio of VG/PG of 70/30. Similarly, we can use Max VG, or if we want a version to use in an plus-ohm tank, we can go for a higher ratio of 50/50. If one changes VG/PG ration, he will have to adjust the amount of added flavor to get the same taste. Next comed the amount of nicotine required. Here we prepare 10ml of mustard milk with 6mg nicotine and VG/PG at 70/30 ratio, which we can select according to desired taste.

2. Correct Measurement:

In order to find out the correct amount for use, take the help of an on-line ejuice calculator such as eLR, EjuiceMeUp, Steam Engine or e-liquid-recipes. Input the relevant details on create recipe page and press save. It will create a table showing the volume, weight and percentage of each ingredient. You may save these e-recipes as private or public ( for others to see).

3. Mixing :

Make sure to select a safe and hygienic place for this process. Apply rubber gloves and keep a plastic tray ready for any spillage.

By weight: Place an empty 10 ml bottle on the scale and set it to zero. Add the flavors in the correct measurement. Then add nicotine as well as VG and PG. Ensure that you use separate syringe for this process. The final weight should match with the figure shown on eLR table.

By volume: One should always use separate syringes for this process. Check the correct measurement on the syringe and add them to the 10 ml bottle. The flavor concentrate and nicotine will require an additional 1 ml syringe. This method is less accurate as compared to scales.

Note:  A simple technique is to use drops for measurement. This process works well with flavorings, but is unsuitable for nicotine.
